About

My name is Brian Schiff.  I am a licensed physical therapist, APTA board certified orthopaedic clinical specialist (OCS) and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specilaist (CSCS). I am a runner and have worked with runners my entire professional career.

Currently, I work at Raleigh Orthopaedic Performance Center in Raleigh, NC and manage my own educational and consulting company, B Fit Training Systems.  I have worked with athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, USTA, US Rugby, as well as numerous Division 1 collegiate athletes. Presently, I serve as a PT consultant for the Carolina Hurricanes.

I am an online columnist for Personal Fitness Professional Magazine (PFP) and have contributed many articles on fitness and injury prevention for Men's Health Best Life Magazine, Fitness Magazine, WeckMethod, PTon the Net, and Endurance Magazine.  I also teach continuing education seminars on running injuries/rehab for Allied Health Education.

My goal in creating this site is to educate runners about how to run injury free and reach their peak potential.  Many running injuries can be prevented through better self awareness, adequate rest and recovery and proper training. I have run numerous 5Ks, four half marathons and one marathon to date, so I am familiar with the rigors and pains that accompany running.

I want to provide sound evidence based information for runners of all ages and abilities looking to conquer their aches and pains, as well as pursue their next PR.  I hope you will partner with me on that journey!
